He was responsible for Stoke Abbott parish being ordered to pay the Western Treasurer of Dorset £7 16s to reimburse the Treasurer of Somerset for monies paid to the Crewkerne parish Overseers of the Poor of for the support and maintenance of the wife and three children of Thomas Gosney for the 26 week period between 16 Jan 1813 and 17 Jul 1813 and a further £7 16s for the period from 17 Jul 1813 to 15 Jan 1814 on 25 June 1814. He married Mary Warren on 25 August 1820 at St Mary's Church, Stoke Abbott, Dorset; the winesses were Elizabeth Holland and John Weaver.
