He was a retired farmer on 2 September 1962. As of 2 September 1962, Ashley Howard Stribling lived at Harvey Street 1019, Central Okanagan, Kelowna, British Columbia. He was buried on 4 September 1962 at Glenmore - City Cemetery, Central Okanagan, Kelowna, British Columbia.

Ernest George William Hann

     Following Ernest's death a Court of Enquiry chaired by Major JJ Hughes was held the same day at Tel El Kebir. Ernest George William Hann was born on 2 April 1894 at Mount Lofty, Adelaide, Adelaide Hills, South Australia. He was the son of William Nicholas Hann and Mary Martha Slape. Ernest George William Hann was a labourer on 23 June 1915. He began military service on 23 June 1915 at Keswick, Adelaide, City of West Torrens, South Australia, as 509 - Private, Australian Imperial Force. He was 21 years 2 months, 5' 4" tall, 133lbs, 33"-34.5" chest, fair complexion, blue eyes and brown hair. As of 23 June 1915, Ernest George William Hann lived at Holmedale, Adelaide, City of Burnside, South Australia. He served with L Group Bas Infantry on 5 July 1915. He transferred to B Company, 32nd Infantry Battalion on 16 August 1915. He embarked from Australia aboard HMAT A2 Geelong on 18 November 1915. He was at El Ferdan Bridge near Ismalia between 27 December 1915 and 17 January 1916. As of 5 January 1916, Ernest George William Hann lived at Waterfall Gully, Adelaide, City of Burnside, South Australia. He was at Ismalia on 1 February 1916. He was at Tel El Kebir between 16 February 1916 and 29 February 1916. He died on 29 February 1916 at Tel El Kebir, Al-Ismailiyah (Ismaliya), at age 21; as 509 - 8 Platoon, B Company, 32nd Infantry Battalion, Australian Imperial Force of a bullet wound 1.5 inches below his left eye sustained by being accidentally shot by 624 - Private James Steele (whilst holding an aiming disc during a rapid fire training exercise.) He was buried on 29 February 1916 at Tel El Kebir War Memorial Cemetery (E16.15), Tel El Kebir, Al-Ismailiyah (Ismaliya). He is remembered on panel E16 of the Tel-El Kebir War Memorial and on the Magill Soldiers Memorial.      Mary Ann Staple was christened on 6 February 1820 at St Mary's Church, Stoke Abbott, Dorset. She was the daughter of William Staple and Charlotte Vincent. As of 30 March 1851, Mary Ann Staple lived at The Village (13), Stoke Abbott, Dorset. She married John Rendle on 17 February 1855 at St Mary's Church, Stoke Abbott, Dorset; witnesses were John Jeffery and George Hann (parish clerk). The bride's name was recorded as Mary Ann Staples.
