George and Anna Maria had a daughter called Rhoda who was registered and christened as such in 1882. In 1885 a 3 year-old Rhoda's death was registered in Bridport R D in the Oct-Dec quarter and the correspondong burial took place in Loders in October. As a result no Rhoda appears on the 1891 census, which one would expect. However an 11 year-old Constance Rhoda is buried in Loders on 7 May 1894 who would be the same age as Rhoda had she not died . There is no child called Constance Rhoda christened or registered and by 1886 George and Anna Maria had another child, christened Constance Rhoda May, who was shown as May on the 1891 census. The burial of Constance Rhoda is in the correct sequence within the parish register; Constance Rhoda May lived until 1976. I believe that the Constance Rhoda who died in 1894 was the one registered in Bridport R D in the Apr-Jun quarter and that the age at burial should read 11 days - though whose child she was I know not as two pages are missing from the Loders registers on the Ancestry website and the opcdorset website only has christenings up to 1880 at the moment. Rhoda Samways was born on 31 January 1882 at Loders, Dorset. She was the daughter of George Samways and Anna Maria Hansford. Rhoda Samways was christened on 12 May 1882 at St Mary Magdalene Church, Loders, Dorset. She died before 14 October 1885 at Loders, Dorset. She was buried on 14 October 1885 at St Mary Magdalene Church, Loders, Dorset.
