He served aboard the Revenge class battleship HMS Royal Sovereign between 2 January 1917 and 26 July 1919. As of between 1918 and 1925, Arthur Edwin Snell lived at Coombe Street - coombe Terrace 2, Axminster, Devon. He returned to Portsmouth between 27 July 1919 and 30 August 1919. He served aboard HMS Royal Sovereign again between 31 August 1919 and 28 January 1921. He transferred to Plymouth Division on 28 January 1921. He served with 8th Battaion, Royal Marines between 24 February 1921 and 18 February 1922. He was statined at Plymouth before transerring to Deal for discharge between 19 February 1922 and 10 March 1922. He ended military service on 9 June 1922. He married Gladys Lillian Newton, daughter of Emmanuel Newton and Annie Ethel Bowditch, in December 1925 at Axminster R D, Devon. As of 1926, Arthur Edwin Snell lived at Lyme Road, Axminster, Devon. As of between 1929 and 1930, Arthur Edwin Snell lived at Old Lyme Road, Charmouth, Dorset. As of 1931, Arthur Edwin Snell lived at Lower Sea Lane, Charmouth, Dorset. He died in June 1933 at Axminster R D, Devon, at age 35.

     Alfred Stanley Newton was born in December 1913 at Bridport R D, Dorset. He was the son of Emmanuel Newton and Annie Ethel Bowditch. Alfred Stanley Newton died on 8 January 1943 at HM Submarine P311, Mediterranean (western), at age 29; was serving as D/SSX13847 Able Seaman, Royal Navy (Plymouth Division) on the T-class submarine (due to be officially designated HMS Tutankhamen) which failed to return to base after failing to undertake a planned Chariot 'human torpedo' raid in early January on two Italian cruisers at La Maddalena, Sardegna (Sardinia.) He was commemorated on Panel 79 Column 3 (see http://www.webrarian.co.uk/rnwm/079.jpg) after 8 January 1943 at Plymouth Naval Memorial, St Andrew, Plymouth.

     Frederick George Newton was born on 12 November 1904 at Charmouth, Dorset. He was the son of Emmanuel Newton and Annie Ethel Bowditch. As of 2 April 1911, Frederick George Newton lived at Roman Road, Charmouth, Dorset. He died in March 1986 at Poole, Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole, at age 81.

     John Oliver Herbert Newton was born on 10 June 1915 at Bridport R D, Dorset. He was the son of Emmanuel Newton and Annie Ethel Bowditch. John Oliver Herbert Newton died in December 1983 at Haywards Heath R D, West Sussex, at age 68.

Fanny Hodges and James Hodges appear to have separated as by 1911 James is shown as single and having returned to Charmouth and Fanny is still recorded as married and living with her two youngest children in Lyme Regis between 1901 and 1911. As of 31 March 1901, Fanny Hodges lived at Pickle Square (now Millgreen Court) (137), Lyme Regis, Dorset. She was a laundress on 2 April 1911. As of 2 April 1911, Fanny Hodges lived at Millgreen Court 11, Lyme Regis, Dorset.

     Florence Bowditch was born in September 1881 at Wootton Fitzpaine, Dorset. She was the daughter of Alfred Bowditch and Mary Hann.
