He married Catherine Powell on 2 September 1804 at St Stephen's Church, Bettiscombe, Dorset; the witness was Thomas Larcombe. As of between 1805 and 1846, Thomas Hann lived at Wootton Fitzpaine, Dorset. He was arrested on a warrant issued on 2 January 1828 by Rev F Goforth of Wootton Fitzpaine and taken to Dorchester Gaol on 7 January 1828. On 6 March 1828 as 50 year-old Thomas Hand of Wootton Fitzpaine, a married labourer with 3 children, he was sentenced to two months hard labour having been found guilty of trespass in a case brought by Rev F Goforth. He was 4' 9.75" tall with dark brown hair, grey eyes and a fair complexion. His right leg was shorter than his left, he had weak eyes and walked very lame. He was an agricultural labourer on 6 June 1841. As of 6 June 1841, Thomas Hann lived at Wootton Street, Wootton Fitzpaine, Dorset; his name was recorded as Thomas Han. She was charged at Bridport Police Court on 19 October 1880 with stealing 5s from James Mallett on 13 October. Mallett had met her at Axminster Fair and invited her to drink at Mr Turner's spirit vaults. Whilst there some of her friends came in and she offered them drinks taking 5s from Mallett's trouser pocket to pay. Although they had previously been to the Western Hotel and had spirits and biscuits he was not drunk and had not told her to take the money from his pocket. When he asked for the 5s back Elizabeth said she only had 2s but later her sister offered him the 5s which he took. Elizabeth pleaded not guilty to the charge which was dismissed due to insufficient evidence. As of between 19 October 1880 and 5 March 1882, Elizabeth Hann lived at Fishpond Bottom, Whitchurch Canonicorum, Dorset. She had gone with her daughter Mary to hang out some clothes to dry and left her on her own while she fetched some more clothes.
