He returned to the HM Naval Base at Devonport, Plymouth (HMS Vivid I) on 11 February 1919. He enlisted for 12 years and promoted to Ordinary Seaman, taking service number K55659. At this time he was 5 ft 6.5 in, dark brown hair, brown eyes; his service number having changed to K55659 on 14 March 1919. He became an acting Stoker (Class I) before being posted again on 24 March 1919. He joined HMS Indus, a collection of hulks (the former broadside ironclad Defence (Indus I), the broadside battleship Bellerophon (Indus II) and Swiftsure class central battery ironclad Temeraire (Indus III)) that formed the RN Engine Room Articifers' School at Devonport on 6 May 1919. He was promoted to Stoker (Class I) on 20 May 1920. He returned to HMS Vivid II awaiting a posting on 2 October 1920. He joined HMS King George V, a Centurion Class battleship (picture at http://www.battleships-cruisers.co.uk/centurion.htm) on 26 October 1920. He was awarded the British War Medal as Ply/J91834, Boy 2nd class. At the time of his award he was serving aboard HMS King George V between 26 October 1920 and 9 February 1923. He was back at HMS Vivid II awaiting a new ship on 9 February 1923. He was posted to HMS Woolwich, a destroyer depot ship on 20 February 1923. He married Elsie Maud Gudge in September 1923 at Chard R D, Somerset. George Hann was back at HMS Vivid on 1 December 1923. He joined HMS Resolution as a Stoker (Class II). Resolution was another battleship that saw service with the 2nd Battle Squadron of the Atlantic Fleet before transferring to the Mediterranean Fleet (picture at http://www.battleships-cruisers.co.uk/resolution.htm)) on 4 January 1924. He became an acting Leading Stoker on 17 June 1926. He returned to HMS Vivid II on 23 December 1926. He became a Leading Stoker on 15 February 1928. He joined Reserve fleet's R class Destroyer HMS Taurus under Devonport's Reserve flagship and troop carrier HMS Carysfort, a Caroline class light cruiser (picture at http://www.battleships-cruisers.co.uk/caroline_class.htm) serving with on 9 June 1928. He was back at HMS Vivid II on 3 July 1928. He served aboard W class destroyer HMS Vansittart on 21 August 1928 at HMS Egmont, Forti Sant'Anglu (Fort St Angelo), Birgu. He died in April 1992 at Plymouth at age 91.
