At the Fulham Coroner's inquest on 28 Sep 1922 into the death of Agnes Maud it was stated that she had not slept for several weeks and was severely depressed. She had intended killing both children and herself. She was tried and remanded in custody for trial at the Central Criminal Court on 26 Oct 1922 on 3 October 1922 at West London Police Court, Kensington, Greater London. She was found guilty of her daughter of whom it was said she was very fond but insane through melancholia and sentenced to be detained at an asylum at His Majesty's pleasure (indefinitely) on 26 October 1922 at Central Criminal Court, Strand, Greater London. She died in March 1980 at Surrey South Eastern R D, Surrey, at age 91.
