He He may have been the Jesse Hann, beerhouse keeper of Yeovil, who was charged in November 1833 with stealing coal from George Harris by accepting it from Harris's 'boy in exchange for beer. He was committed to Ilchester gaol for trial at the assizes.

Following George's death a number of properties that he had mortgaged were put up for sale by the lender. At the auction it was pointed out by the vicar of Stoke Abbott that although George and he ancestors had held 'Curfew Plot' since 1790, it was done so in their capacity as Parish Clerk and curfew bell ringer. The land was withdrawn from auction but subsequently sold. At this point the Parish (supported by George's brother William Hann and grandson George Hann, jnr) went to court and were successful in their claim to have the land returned to the Parish.

He with Charlotte Clare (his 2nd cousin), was a witness to the marriage of Robert Bailey with Sarah Elliott on 20 August 1826 at St Mary's Church, Stoke Abbott, Dorset. He qualified to vote in Stoke Abbott as a freeholder under the name of Arthur Hand and voted for Ashley in 1831. He was a linen bleacher between 1840 and 1841. As of 7 June 1841, Arthur Hann lived at The Village, Stoke Abbott, Dorset. He was a flax yarn bleacher on 7 June 1841. He was an agricultural labourer between 1851 and 1861. As of 30 March 1851, Arthur Hann lived at The Village (47), Stoke Abbott, Dorset. He qualified to vote in Stoke Abbott as a freeholder and voted for Hon. W H Berkeley Portman in 1857. As of 7 April 1861, Arthur Hann lived at The Village (59), Stoke Abbott, Dorset. He won £1 for a clean cottage at the Beaminster District Cottage Garden and Labourers' Friend Society show in September 1861. He died in October 1870 at Stoke Abbott, Dorset, at age 86. He was buried on 2 November 1870 at St Mary's Church, Stoke Abbott, Dorset.
