This is the last Will and Testament of me William Hann senior of Stoke ABbott in the County of Dorset Carpenter

I direct payment by my Executors hereinafter named of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses as soon as conveniently can be after my decease

I give devise and bequeath unto John Bascombe of Stoke Abbott aforesaid Yeoman his heirs executors administrators and assigns All and every my houses lands and premises and all other my real and personal estate and effects whatsoeverand wheresoever that I may die possessed of or entitled to Upon trust to permit my dear wife Ann Hann to hold and enjoy the same and to receive the rents and profits thereof during her natural life
And after her decease

I devise and bequeath to my daughter Edith Froome the wife of William Froome of Beaminster in the County of Dorset her heirs or assigns the dwellinghouse now in my occupation with a part of the garden in a straight line with the back of the closet in the same garden as were marked out and containing one hundred and nineteen feet by twenty one feet This I devise and bequeath to my son William Hann of Stoke Abbott aforesaid Carpenter his heirs and assigns the shop adjoining the aforesaid dwellinghouse with the smith's shop and the remaining part of the garden and orchard thereunto belonging And I hereby attest that the premises hereby given to my daughter Edith Froome and William Hann my son shall equally bear the Mortgage debt due thereon

And as to my other two cottages and gardens situate in Stoke Abbott aforesaid subject to the Mortgage debt due thereon amd all my other real and personal estate I direct my said trustee as soon as conveniently may be after the decease of my said wife to sell and realize the same in such a manner as he shall think fit and after payment of all expenses to divide the proceeds unto and equally between my five motherless grandchildren namely William Saint, Mary Ann Hart(sic) [Hann?], George Pain, Samuel Pain and John Pain share and share alike

And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Ann Hann and the said John Bascombe joint Executors of this my Will.
