He embarked aboard SS Kashgar at Alexandria for demobilization on 23 May 1919. He added a Codicil to his Will on 2 November 1836. He left a will on 2 November 1836. He added another Codicil to his Will on 24 June 1837. His estate was probated on 21 December 1837; granted to Ann and Richard Waygood, widow and son.
