Transciption of the WIll of Joseph Meech (PROB11/1466-220)

In the Name of God Amen.
I Joseph Meech of Beaminster in the County of
Dorset Tallow Chandler being of sound and perfect
memory do make and ordain this to be my last
Will and Testament in manner and form following
Imprimis I Give and bequeath unto my wife
Rebecca Meech all my Lands House Goods Stock in
Trade Book Debts and utensils of every and
whatsoever for her Widowhood amd my desire is
for my two sons John and Thomas Meech to carry
on my business together for her use for her
Widowhood but if my wife should marry or
decease then my two sons John and Thomas Meech
shall immediately hanve and hold all the
aforesaid Land House Goods Stick in Trade Book
Debts and utensils of every kind whatsoever except
what is otherwise devised by Nomination Item I
ordain my two sons John and Thomas Meech or
the survivor of them to pay my daughter Ann
Meech or her heirs the Sum of One Hundred
pounds lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid
one year after my Wifes decease or marriage and
at that time I appoint my daughter Ann Meech
pay my Grandson Joseph Meech Clare the Sum of
Ten pounds lawful Money of Great Britain to be
placed in the hands of my Executors In Trust for his
use as they shall think fit but if my daughter
Ann Meech should decease before my wife then
my two Sons John and Thomas Meech or the
Survivor of them shall pay the aforesaid Sum of
Ten pounds to my Executors In Trust for the use
of the said Joseph Meech Clare as they shall
think fit and also if my daughter Ann Meech
should decease before my wife and have no
child then I ordain my two Sons John and Thomas or the
survivor of them to pay my Grandson Joseph
Meech Clare the Sum of Fifty pounds lawful
Money of Great Britain out of my dwelling
house at the age of twenty one years or in six
months after the decease of my wife but if
the said Joseph Meech Clare should decease before
he is twenty one years of age then the said Sum
of Fifty pounds to be paid to my daughter Ann
Meech or her heirs Item I constitute and
appoint Mr John Hart of Dorchester Gent and my
Brother Mr James Meech to be my Executors In
Trust for ordering and managing my affairs for
my wife and children In witness hereof I have
hereto set my hand and seal this 6th day of
August in the year of our Lord one thousand
