Last Will and Testament of John Swatridge

This is the last will and Testament
of me John Swatridge of Corscombe in the County of Dorset
Baker I give unto my wife all my moneys goods chattels
and personal estate and effects subject to the payment of
my debts and funeral and testamentary expensees and I
appoint my Nephew William Swatridge of Stoke Abbotts
Dorset Miller Executor of this my will In wintess whereof
I have hereunto set my hand this eighteenth day of
January one thousand eight hundred and thirtyeight
John Swatridge signed published and declared by the
above named Testator John Swatridge as and for his last
will and testament in the presence of us who at his request
in his presence and in the presence of each other have
subscribed our names as witnesses Jas. Warden

Proved at London 31st March 1840 before the Judge by
the oath of William Swatridge the younger the Nephew
the sole exor to whom admon was granted having been
first sworn by Comon duly to administer
