He married Violet Maud Wrixon, daughter of David Walter Wrixon and Sarah Jane Reeves, in June 1929 at Wimborne R D, Dorset. Percy Edward F G Riggs was a farm carter on 29 September 1939. He registered with Wimborne & Cranborne Rural Districtl Council under the National Registration Act on 29 September 1939. As of 29 September 1939, Percy Edward F G Riggs lived at Didlington - Sybil Cottages, Horton and Chalbury, Dorset. He died in March 1980 at Poole, Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole.
