His body was not recovered but he is commemorated at Westerlo and on Panel 219 of the Air Force memorial at Runnymede. He was part of the crew of a Lancaster heavy bomber KO-K (serial DS782) in a 794 bomber raid on Berlin, 39 of which are still missing. His was one of only three lost by the squadron during their 3-4 month stay at RAF Little Snoring, Norfolk. His body was not recovered but he is commemorated on Panel 154 of the Air Force memorial at Runnymede after 22 November 1943.
