Elizabeth Newell

F, b. circa 1777, d. 18 September 1834
Elizabeth Newell was born circa 1777. She married George Catchlove, son of Edmund Catchlove and Elizabeth Rogers, on 15 September 1794 at St Pancras Church, Chichester, West Sussex. Elizabeth Catchlove died before 28 February 1834 at Goodge Street, St Pancras, Greater London. She was buried on 28 February 1834 at St James Piccadilly Church, St James, Greater London. There appears to be contradictory information about Elizabeth's death. The death of Mrs Catchlove of Sommers-town [Somer's Town?] (wife of Mr Catchlove the carpenter) is reported in the 20 Sep 1834 Edition of the Hampshire Advertiser. However there was an Elisabeth Catchlove of Goodge Street, London (aged 56) being buried on 28 Feb 1834. Elizabeth's husband George was a carpenter and I know of no other Sommers Town or Elizabeth's whose husbands were carpenters around this time. She died on 18 September 1834 at Somers Town, Greater London; was reported in the 20 Sep edition of the Hampshire Chronicle as the wife of Mr Catchlove, carpenter (see http://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0000494/18340920/018/0003 - subscription required.)
