ROWNHAMS CASH STORES - 1 CORONATION COTTAGES
Photographed when brand new shortly before James Henry Hann married in the early 1900s, Rownhams Stores were later managed by him. The Post Office later moved to Cypress Villa at the northern end of Horns Drove where it stayed and the Cash Stores were later owned by James Henry's son Edmund Philip. Cypress Villa was later demolished to build the M27 and the Post Office relocated to a new building with s smsll store in Horns Drove 100 yards north and on the opposite side of the road to the Cash Stores which had by then become a hairdressers. Since then the Cash Stores has changed yet again and been converted to domestic use and the Post Office has been closed down. In 2017 the old Cash Stores was two leasehold flats and the old Post Office the offices of s compsny of management advisors
