Beaminster Garage circa 1914 when the Hanns were the agents for RCH (Robert Craig Hubb) cars of the USA. The car in the centre of the photograph has been identified by the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu as a 1913 RCH 22hp (Twenty Five?) Tourer (for more information see http://www.r-c-h.com), the one on the left is thought to be a 1914 Lanchester 6-cylinder Sporting 40 but may possibly be the modified 1911 Lanchester 25hp Landaulette that was to race at Brooklands as 'Hoieh-wayaryeh-goingtoo' and later 'Softly catch monkey'. It is probable that the driver of the car is garage owner Cecil Collins Hann (who was killed in action with the Royal Flying Corps in 1916) and the boy standing next to the car at the back may be Arthur Ernest Hann (who later took over the garage) - For more about the people associated with the garage see https://hannfamily.org.uk/prout_bridge.htm
