Transcription of entry in 4 Feb 1921 edition of the Western Gazzette

DEATH OF MRS> SUSAN HANN. - A familiar
figure has just passed away in the person of Mrs,
Susan Hann, at the ripe old age of 75*. Deceased,
who was of a genial disposition, enjoyed a good
measure of health right up to the time of her death,
which came suddenly, she having the same day
assisted a neighbour with her washing as well
as attending to her own household duties. Her
death came as somewhat of a shock to the neigh-
bourhood. The funeral took place on Saturday
at Thorncombe Churchyard, the Rev. Canon
Bragge officiating. The coffin was of polished
elm, with black fittings, and the bearers were
Messrs. J. Black, A. Bowditch, W Dening, and
A. Hellier. The mourners were: - Mr. Hugh
Hann, Mr. F. Hann, Mr. L. Hann, and Mr. A.
Hann (sons), Miss M. Hann, Mrs L, Larcombe,
and Mrs. More (daughters), Mr. G. Bevis, Mr. B.
Bevis, and a number of sympathising friends
