NO CARRIAGE LIGHTS>
A WARNING TO DRIVERS.
Before the Swansea magistrates this (Wed-
nesday) morning Alfred Hann, haulier,
Swansea, was summoned under the bye-laws
recently adopted by the Glamorganshire
County Council for driving a horse and trap
on the evening of October 13th, at Sketty,
without carrying lighted lamps, as provided
by the bye-laws in question. Defendant
pleaded ignorance of the bye-laws, and the
Cench(sic) inasmuch as the rules were newy(sic)
made, accepted his excuse and discharged
him, adding, as a caution to others, that
ignorance of the law would not be accepted
again as an excuse.
