THE whole of the valuable LIVE and DEAD
FARMING STOCK, Corn, Hay, Casks, Dairy
Utensils, and other Effects, the property of the late
Mr. John Wakely, deceased; comprising:- 18 prime
yound dairy cows, the greater part with calves, the
others well seasoned in calf; 4 barreners, two of
which are in forward condition; 3 heifer yearlings; 3
superior cart mares, and one powerful cart horse, with
their harness; 1 cob pony, rising four years old; 17
fat wethers; 66 horn pur hogs (very fresh); 2 elts;
2 waggons with iron axles; 3 broad wheel putts; 1
cart with tilt; pony gig and harness; 3 ploughs and
tackle; pair of drags; 3 pair of harrows; iron rollers;
chaff engine; winnowing machine; barn sieves; corn
measures; 2 winnowing sheets; corn sacks; reed
drawing press; 2 ladders; 6 sheep cribs; 10 dozen
hurdles; picka and rakes; pig jib; 4 iron pigs'
troughs; grind-stone; portable calves' house; sundry
garden tools; lot of fagot wood; 10 iron bound hhd.
casks, in good condition; 4 mow saddles, stocks and
covers; and a multiplicity of other useful articles.
The Dairy Utensils which are in good condition,
consist of:- 6 milk leads and stands; cheese press;
vats and followers; 2 butter churns; 8 milk pans;
milk pails and buckets; cheese tub; butter tubs, &c,
&c. Also, 3 excellent wheat mows; 3 bean stacks;
part of a pea mow; 60 bushels of nursery wheat fresh
threshed; 16 sacks of barley; 6 bushels of vetches;
10 bags of potatoes; 4 cwt of household cheese;
about 40 tons (in lots) of prime meadow hay, which
may be taken off the premises; and about 4 hundred
of reed
The cows are of the Devon and Hereford breed,
yound and very superior for milk. The cart horses
are young, good workers, and were all bred on the
farm, and will be found, with the other property,
well deserving attention. The whole will be sold
without the least reserve.
Two months' credit will be given on the hay and
corn on approved security. Refreshments will be
provided, and the sale commence at one o'clock.
