ACCIDENT - On Monday night an
accident happened to Isaac Hann, a
carter, in the employ of Mr Deane of
Bury [Berry?] Farm. He was returning
from Chardstock with three horses
and a waggon load of apples, and was
standing on the shafts when his foot
slipped and he fell off, the wheels of
the waggon passing over his thigh, one
side of the face, and bruising it in a
frightful manner. He was assisted into
the waggon, and was attended to by
some friends near, who after some
little time took the care of the horses
and drove them home to Bury. Hann
was well enough to be removed to his
home the same night. Under the care
of Dr Wills he is progressing fairly
