It was reported that Mr Loveridge the Nuisance Inspectorhad received complaints with ragrds to the saw mill steam engine whiich was used to drive the machinery for cutting wood. The inhabitants had complained about smoke from the engine and the Inspector wished to know what to do about it. The Chairman thought that the wind would blow smoke from any chimney during the rough weather but it it was agreed that the Clerk would refer to the Public Health Act and provide the Inspector with guidance
