CURIOUS FATALITY - We reported in
Saturday's Telegram that a young man
named Clarke, in the employ of Mr Hann,
timber merchant of Colyton, had
met with an accident while attending a
circular saw on his master's premises.
Singular enough, his brother, a single
man, named Frank Clarke, met with an
accident yesterday of similar nature. It
appears that he is also in the employ of
Mr Hann, and upon being asked by a
fellow-workman how his brother met
with his accident on the previous Friday
he attempted to show him while the
saw was revolving at a very fast rate.
The result was that his left hand was
caught in the saw, his little finger was
cut off, and the next finger to it was
much damaged. He was removed to
the Devon and Exeter Hospital
