TRANSCRIPTION OF THE WILL OF CORNELIUS HANN

This is the last Will and Testament of me Cornelius Hann of Yeovil in the County of Somerset Hair Dresser.

I appoint my Friend Joseph Exell of Yeovil aforesaid Tailor and my Daughter Elizabeth Alice Hann Executors and
Trustees of this my Will

I give and devise unto the said Elizabeth Alice Hann my Dwellinghouse, Shop and Premises in my occupation being No. 4 in Hendford in Yeovil, aforesaid subject to the payment of the Mortgage of four hundred and fifty pounds charged thereon and also subject toi the payment to my Executors and Trustees of the Sum on One thousand one hundred and fifty pounds and my Pianoforte and Mahogony sideboard..

I bequeath to my Daughters Helena Maud Kemp, Kate Miles Gutch and Emmeline Lucy Stone the sum of two hundred pounds each

I bequaeth to my Son Charles Albert Hann my gold watch and albert chain also the sum of two hundred pounds charged with the repayment to the said Elizabeth Alice Hann of the sum of twenty pounds with interest thereon at five pounds per centum per annum from the first day of April One thousand eight hundred and eighty nine until payment.

I bequeath to my Sons William James Hann and Thomas Herbert Hann the sum of One hundred pounds each

I give devise and bequeath unto the said Joseph Exell and Elizabeth Alice Hann and the survivor of them and the Executors Administrators and Assigns of such Survivor (hereinafter designated my Trustees) all my Household Furniture and effects tock and utensils in Trade Bookdebts and money secured to me in any manner and all other my real and personal Estate and effects of every kind and description (except that herinbefore specifically devised and bequeathed) Upon trust that they shall as soon as conveniently may be after my decease sell and dispose of the same either by Public Auction or private Contract and for such reasonable price as they may deem it desirable to accept. And as to my real Estate (if any) subject to such special or ordinary conditions and stipulations of sale as they may think or may be advised to be requisite and out of the money to be received to direct my said Trustees to pay my just debts funeral and Testamentary expenses and Legacies and then Upon trust to divide the whole of my trust estate in equal shares and proprtions between my Children the said Elizabeth Alice Hann, Helena Maud Kemp, Kate Miles Gutch and Emmeline Lucy Stone share and share alike as tenants in common.

And I hereby declare that all sums of money paid to either of my said Daughters under this my Will who may be married shal be for her sole and separate use free from and independent of the debts control or engagements of her Husband and so that her receipt alone shall be a valid discharge.

And I declare that the power of appointing new Trustees conferred by Statute shall for the purposes of this my Will be vested in the said Elizabeth Alice Hann

As witness my hand this twenty first day of December One thousand eight hundred and eighty nine

Signed by the said Cornelius Hann as his last Will in the presence of us both being present at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of each other hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

This is a codicil to the last Will and Testament of me Cornelius Hann of Yeovil in the County of Somerset Hairdresser which Will bears date the twenty first day of December One thousand eight hundred and eithy nine.

Whereas by my said Will I have bequeathed to my Son Charles Albert Hann the sum of two hundred pounds charged with the payment to my Daughter Elizabeth Alice Hann of the sum of twenty pounds and interest And whereas I have this day paid the sum of One hundred pounds her for the benefit of my said Son Charles Albert Hann Now I declare that the said sum of One hindred pounds so as aforesaid paid her for the benefit of my said Son Charles Albert Hann with interest from the date hereof after the rate of four pounds per centrum per annum shall be taken by him in part satisfaction of the said Legacy so bequeathed to him by my said Will aforesaid And in all other respects I confirm my said Will

In witness whereof I the said Cornelius Hann have to this my Codicil to my last Will and Testament set my hand this fourteenth day of March One thousand eight hundred and ninety two

Signed and acknowledged by the abovenamed Cornelius Hann as and for a Codicil to his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witness
