Transcription of the Setlement Examination of Mary Hann dated 10 Sep 1730 (Dorset R O ref PE/BE/OV 4/4/1)

"Dorsett: The Examination of Mary Hann now in the Parish
of Beaminster in the County aforesd. Spinster On
Oath before us this 10th day of September Anno Dom
1730.
Who saith that she was borne in the Parish of Stoake Abbey that she
hath lived as a Covenant Servant in the Parish of Beaminster twice with
Mr Richd. Hoskins for two yeares at a time Thence she went to
Broadwinsor and there lived as a Covenant Servant for One year and
then she went to work .... in the Parish of Abbotsbury And
there lived as a Covenant Servant with Richard Henvill Esqe. for
a Year and almost a half and for the first year had three pounds wages
And for the half yeare had but Five and Twenty Shillings Since
which time she hath not lived in any Covenant Service
or obtained any legall Settlement Elsewhere And farther saith not.
