Transcription of the Removal Order (Dorset Record Office ref PE/BE/OV 4/3/151)

DORSET

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Netherbury in the County of Dorset, to convey, and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Beaminster in the same County of Dorset to receive THESE

WHEREAS complaint has been made by you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Netherbury unto us whose Hands and Seals are hereunto set, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace, (whereof one is of the Quorum) forr the said County of Dorset, THAT

Daniel Hann aged about twenty eight years Mary his Wife and their four Children viz. Elizabeth aged about eight years Eliza aged about Seven years Charles aged about two years and an Infant not yet Christened lately intruded into your said Parish of Netherbury there to inhabit as Parishioners contrary to the laws relating to the settlement of the Poor, and are become chargeable to the said Parish of Nertherbury. Upon due examination and enquiry made into the Premises by us the said Justices, it appears unto us and we accordingly adjudge that the said Daniel Hann Mary his Wife and their four children viz. Elizabeth Eliza Charles and an Infant are actually
become chargeable unto the said Parish of Netherbury and that the last legal Place of settlement of the said Daniel Hann, Mary his Wife and their four children viz. Elizabeth Eliza Charles and an Infant was and is in the Parish of Beaminster aforesaid, in the said County of Dorset

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to order and require you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Netherbury aforesaid, that you or some of you do forthwith remove and convey the said Daniel Hann Mary his Wife and their four children viz. Elizabeth Eliza Charles and an Infant from your said Parish of Netherbury to the said Parish of Beaminster and them to deliver to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true Copy thereof, whereby they are likewise required in His Majesty's Name, and by virtue of the Statutes in such case made, forthwith to receive the said Daniel Hann Mary his Wife and their four children viz. Elizabeth Eliza Charles and an Infant
into the said Parish of Beaminster and provide for them as their own Parishioners and provide for them

GIVEN under our Hands and Seals the twenty first Day of March in the Year of our Lord, one Thousand, eight Hundred and thirty one
