In the name of God Amen the Twenty Eight day of July in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand Six Hundred Nynty and Eight, I Joan Hann widdow of Coombs=head in the parrish of Dallwood in the County of Dorsett spinster being sick and weak in Body but of sound and perfect memory and remembrance, thanks bee Almighty God, doe hereby make ordayne and apoynt and declare this present writeing to bee my last will and testament in
manner and forme following (that is to say) first I bequeath my Soule unto the hands of Almighty God my Creator and redeemer, And my Body to Christian Buryall

Itim my will is and I doe hereby give devise and bequeath unto my grand Child Thomas Newbery all such goods as I had of his late fathers (Called Richard Newbery of Stockland in the said County of Dorsett husbandman), And my will is and I doe hereby give unto Joane Hawkier my daughter the now wife of John Hawkier of Cotleigh in the County of Devon husbandman, my best bras pann, And I give unto my grand Child Jane Hussey wife of Henry Hussey of Cotleigh aforesaid, my best brewing tub or Fate, And I doe give to my son Henry Hann my hogshead which hee hath now in his Custody, And I doe give unto my daughter Mary Passen wife of William Passen of Munkton in the County of Devon husbandman, my second best brewing tub or brewing fate and my midle best bedstead board and the furniture thereunto belonging best brass Crock /. And the sum of Twenty shillings in lawfull money of England And lastly my will is and I give all the rest of my goods and Chattles not herein before given nor bequeathed, unto Henry Newbery my grand Child son of the aforesaid Richard Newbery (my soninlaw)

And I doe hereby make Constitute ordaine and apoynt the said Henry Newbery to bee the whole and sole Executor to this my last will and Testament And I doe hereby desier my wellbeloved friends William Hann of Hanley in the parrish of Dallwood aforesaid yeoman, And John Board of Hanley aforesaid husbandman, to bee my freinds in Trust to besee(?) this my last will and Testament duly performed and they to bee paid theire lawfull Cost and Charges doe doing, as aforesaid in witnes whereof I the aforesaid Joane Hann have hereunto this my last will and Testament sett my hand and seall the day and yeare first above written:
