An accident happened at Colyton yesterday
to a young man named Bert Long, in the
employ of Mr F Hann, timber merchant. Some
men were putting in a new saw at the rack
bench, and Long was in the pit oiling up.
Somehow he must have touched the saw and
knocked it off the spindle, and it fell on his
leg, causing a large wound. Long was taken
home and attended by Dr O'Neil. It is fortun-
ate the injury is no worse, as the saw
weighed 2cwt (100 kg)
